Custom pie shaped kayak floating dock - under construction, left - deployed right. Annapolis, MD
Different from most polyethylene floats on the market - our floats have a marine grade aluminum frame that surrounds the float surface - for attaching cleats, winches, screen enclosures, fish cleaning tables - whatever you can think of - AND - you don't have to install them in specified areas. Example: Use whatever size cleat you want and install it wherever you want - knowing that you are bolting it into a heavy duty aluminum frame - not just plastic:
Accudock manufactures its own line of gangways, ladders, railings and accessories for our floats as well as any fixed or floating dock you may currently own. See our Accessories Page.
8' X 8' with heavy duty railing (and stairs to large vessel) for transporting people from the ship - down the stairs - across the float - and into a shark cage, to witness the "Great White Shark".
We look forward to helping create/bid on your marina or commercial project! You won't want to miss out on our bid. Comparing apples to apples - you will get much more from our product for the dollars you spend. Give us the opportunity to show you why.

| FLOATING DOCKS FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions)
|
| |
1. What sizes do they come in? We manufacture floats in 3 basic sizes: 4 X 4, 4 X 6 and 4 X 8. AND we custom make any size, or shape float to your specifications.
|
 |
| |
2. How much weight do the different sizes hold? See the
Specs Page - a 4 X 8 X 8" is rated to 1055 lbs. 4 X 8 X 16" holds over 2000 lbs! |
 |
| |
3. What's it made out of? HDPE (high density polyethylene) -
same material high quality truck bed liners are made of. It is very durable and takes a "beating". Doesn't fade or crack. |
 |
| |
4. What makes it float? There is a block of foam (polystyrene) inside the float - not just air!
|
 |
| |
5. Are AccuDock Framed Floats portable? Yes. Our largest
and heaviest float (4 X 8) only weighs 103 pounds - easily
manageable by two persons. When winter comes - the dock
is easy to remove. Just disconnect the sections one by one
and pull them out and store them in a maximum 4 X 8 space.

|
|
| |
Put the sections together and slide it into the water. If you have a nearby boat ramp - you can assemble it and float it to your home with a boat. |
 |
| |
6. How do they connect together? We utilize a marine grade aluminum frame system that allows one to easily and rigidly connect the individual floats together end to end (2 - 4 X 8 floats make a 4 X 16), side to side (2 - 4 X 8 floats make an 8 X 8), "L", "T" or "U" shape - whatever configuration you desire.
When our dock is connected together - it is one piece - no rockingor rolling between floats, no marshmallow effect walking on them, no gaps between floats, just a nice clean stable white flat surface that is "no maintenance" to clean - just wash it off.

|
7. Can I connect and install my own dock? Yes. See the How to Install section. Easy to follow instructions regarding installation of all aspects and accessories are detailed there including our patented Universal Slide Assembly. |
 |
| |
8. What is the Universal Slide Assembly and why does it make the dock so stable? It is a patented heavy duty aluminum assembly that is fixed to a piling or seawall, holds your dock firmly and stably like no other product on the market, and allows your dock to float up and down with the tides. The assembly is then covered with a white PVC cosmetic cover.
The bottom plates affix to your float and hold it firmly - the outer tube is attached to a seawall or piling and transfers the stability of your piling/seawall to the floating dock. Even a 50' boat wobbles around in the water when a wave goes by; that's why we have no wake zones around marinas. When a wave goes by our floating dock - the dock simply rises and falls with the wave - but without any wobbling and tipping equals the utmost in stability.

| |
9. What if I don't have a piling or seawall, can I use an Accudock floating dock
and will it be stable? There are many ways to rig a floating dock to your property
and you can do them all with an Accudock Float. The larger your dock - the more stability you will have.
|
 |
| |
10. Are AccuDock floating docks stable?
Can you stand on the edge of your floating dock and jump up and down - you can on ours. You can take a float as little as 4 X 4, and attach it using our patented Universal Slide Assemblies - and stand on the extreme corner.
In the past, only large heavy floating docks had good stability, and many people don't have the room or the budget for a large dock, but want the stability of a large dock. It was for this purpose that Accudock created the Slide Assemblies - which make any size dock big or little - stable as a "rock".
There are many other ways to install your floating dock - anchors, piling hoops, strong arms, etc. - and Accudock's floating docks can be installed whichever way meets you needs and budget.
